Many schools encouraged students to wear orange last week. Schools are now including this part of our history in the curriculum. At Heroes’ Memorial quite a few classes made bulletin board displays honouring the lost children.
It is not an easy topic to cover, but it is an important one that teachers and community leaders feel has to be covered so that nothing similar can ever happen again.
