Federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, the Honorable Catherine McKenna, and Brome-Missisquoi MP, Isabelle Charest, announced financial support to build a roller track (pumptrack) in Bedford, an intergenerational and multisport municipal park in Dunham, and to repair and upgrade the Cowansville aquatic center. These projects are three of nearly 200 recreational and sports infrastructure projects being supported across Quebec by the provincial and federal governments.
The project to build a roller track (pumptrack) in Bedford was initiated by the recreation department and the Bedford town council to improve the offer of recreational and sports activities
in the region while promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity.
This new infrastructure will be accessible to a varied clientele who will be able to take advantage of the roller track using a bike, a scooter, roller skates, a skateboard, BMX, and a mountain bike.
